I'm really pleased to see Nick Kruger have a good match with half centuries in both innings. He makes truckloads of runs in grade cricket but hadn't made the most of previous opportunities at the higher level. He debuted in the 2002/03 final & looked set to establish himself as a permanent member of the team but suffered a bad shoulder injury at the start of the following season & missed a lot of cricket. Uncle Max will be pleased.

..... and Chris Simpson might finally realise that he is mainly in the team as an off-spinner because he sure isn't good enough to bat in the top six. He didn't give himself a bowl in the first two matches of the season & only a handful of overs in the third game. Another YT!

excellent win for the vix...worriers were a bit unlucky with Crawford unable to bat and being forced into an earlier declaration than they may may have wished ...another 10 runs and a coupple of used by the worriers would have made it tighter..

the bad luck for the worriers was balanced by the goat's banishment in WA's first dig...some excellent individual performances...north, muffin, wright, ginga, ronald, gumboots

the sheffield shield is alive...and producing some great matches and individual performances from the different states...worriers, bills and vix ahead of the pack at roughly the halfway mark... still some good performances from the spivs, tozzies and surprise the jellies ...

When will other states learn not to set us targets between 250 and 400?
