Tri-nations: Aussies win
We beat SA for the first time for a while on their soil. Pretty good effort considering how seriously they take rugby compared with us.
Surely that idiot who's been recently appointed coach will be sacked now. He seems to be dragging their rugby down big time.

No: I prefer AFL, hockey, soccer, and even State of Origin League.

I don't hate rugby ... it just never interested me.
Watching a bit of ribbon twirling every 4 years is pleasant enough.

Rugby. Three decent drinking sessions interrupted by two sessions of incomprehensible rulings.

Something like it. Unless you ask one of the blazer-wearers from the Northern hemisphere unions.Basil wrote:Is the Tri-Nations like Rugby Union

That never changes. Did you hear George Smith going apeshit over Berger's squirrel gripping? There's a bunch of them that really are low.

Why, unlike some here, I don't brag when we win, nor do I sook when we lose.

Celebrate but don't brag (unless in jest), congratulate but don't sook.

No, but you do get rather niggly when people suggest that the Boks are a bit on the dirty side.taipan wrote:Why, unlike some here, I don't brag when we win, nor do I sook when we lose.freddled gruntbuggly wrote:Now, now, we don't want to upset taips, do we?G.Wood wrote:As was that bald yarpie's flying headbutt.

Rather like you when I proved that Aus had a worse disciplinary record you mean?

My response was simply to point out that doing something and being caught doing something are different things.
Effectively, you're saying that if someone is murdered and the cops never catch the killer then the victim isn't really dead.
