Went to a grouse cricket dinner last night.

Stephanie Brantz was MC and I spent a while talking to her and her hubby - Simon Hill who does the Fox Soccer commentary. Elyse Perry and Adam Goodes were the guests of honour. Goodes is a bloody champ.

I finished up in a CBD bar with a group of stragglers from the dinner including Mo Matthews. He was actually pretty coherent and it was a very enjoyable conversation. I asked him about his debut innings where he was fired for 75 and waved his bat at the ump in protest. He said "I hit the cover off it". He reckoned Crafter used to fire him a bit.

I also spoke to David Warner's ex manager. He reckons that Nick Maddinson (who he doesn't manage) could be anything (I didn't tell him that Maddinson has already been Trevved and therefore may as well retire). I also pointed out that Maddinson hasn't improved in 2 years.
