Interesting article thread (non cricket related).
Post them here if you want them discussed or simply think that others should read it.

A friend told me that at her daughter’s mixed private school 15-year-old girls
are giving fellatio to boys in the loos for a fiver.
Christ I was born in the wrong era...

Aye, I was shocked by that. It certainly didn't happen at my school or at any other school that I know of.
Must be something that goes on down south. The pulsing source of all evil.

I wonder how many of these stories are true though. Teenagers have a tendency to overplay things.
When I was at school, if I'd have believed everything that was being said 90% of the 4th year was having sex. Whereas the figure was probably in single percentages...

Re: Interesting article thread (non cricket related).
That's some article.
The stuff about the girls in the toilets could well be an exaggeration, who knows.
What's really sad is that lad's magazines feel the need to belittle women of real achievement and that young women have learned to use their sexuality in way that controls men in ways femminists of old never envisaged.
The sexual divide hasn't closed it's just shifted demographically.

What makes you think it actually controls men? Curious. I seem to see the opposite.
Given that some of this is even 50% true, and the same stuff is said to happen in the USA, it seems to me that the end result is even more demeaning to women. I doubt if that behavior gets them any more respect;I would think it just makes them more of sex objects than anything else.
Not that I'm complaining, mind.

Furriner, man have been and can be controlled by their sexual needs and desires by some women and some of those girls know exactly what they are doing and go about it in a very cynical way. The others are following in a very sad trend like sheep but that's human nature, most people like to keep in with what their peers are doing. Hence the spiralling lad and laddette culture.

Thats not a new thing though is it?
Women have known for centuries how to best control men without the help from glossy mags.
I wasn't a kid that long ago. Well... 18 years - who am I kidding?
But I know for sure girls who acted like that would be regarded as cheap sluts.
I hope thats still the case.

No way Jose...
You were lucky to get a micro-quick grope behind the bike shed in exchange for a fag at my gaff ...
Pulsing was definitely nowhere near the mark.

Fellatio was going on among my school year from as young as 13.
Girls were only charging emotional dollars for it, though.
Teenagers are sexually curious. Hold the front page.

Jebus! Yeah, things like that were going on at my school. Even my middle school.

Depends. Not in my circle of friends, but if you're an 18 y.o. with a below average IQ I guess that might still apply?
However, the current generation of teens have grown up with easy access to porn, so it's inevitable that porn has gone some way to shaping their system of values. We can deny it or not but as kids of the 80's we were all influenced/inspired by the music we listened to and the violent films of the era. Of course sane people know how to moderate the influence these things have on them. But the low-level influence is going to shape the way you think and act for a period of time ... before you "grow out of it".
However, if the current generation do all grow up to be useless, dysfunctional eejuts crippled by their unacheivable aspirations, disregard for authority and riddled with STD's ... well it's going to help those of us who will need to work until we're 75!

What? Me and my mates got hold of 'blue movies' whenever we could. Someone could always get one at some point.

Well yeah, but even SFB had a video made of his bowling in the nets. Someone must've been making spankmovies back then.
Re: Interesting article thread (non cricket related).
Even in my school days there was a generally accepted tariff for a look, a grope, and the full bull.

Aye, very grainy 15th generation copies. Once in a "blue" moon. T'internet has pushed porn into the mainstream IMHO.

Well, I must've been off mainstream, but it was still there. I haven't shot, stabbed, raped, murdered or anything else heinous as of yet.

Well, the voices tell me to. But then, I'm too arrogant to listen to them.

Agreed. Porn and teenage boys have always been about of course. These days though mags like Nuts (not porn I know) and sex generally is in the public domain so easily is it any wonder there are so many teenagers in shell suits pushing their kids about?
Maybe i'm just bitter in that I had to work hard to find any porn!
I remember when channel 4 started putting a blue triangle ( or red) in the top corner of the screen to warn people there was sex scenes in the film.
Like Duh! Tits on the telly alert!!!
