Is Graeme Swann the New Monty Panesar?
Spins it and bats and fields. Allround cricketer some might call old Swanny.

Down the Swanny?
But he has got to wear a patka at least. He's got to.

In answer to the question. For England's sakes, I hope not.

I don't want to go all Duncan Fletcher here, but on current form, Swann should be England's number 1 spinner considering he can bat and field, and he's currently bowling better than Monty, as well. Methinks it's time for Monty to get a bit of a kick up the backside (ie it's time for him to get dropped for a while).

I think you can be reassured on this one ... you're not going 'Duncan Fletcher', because Fletcher would never have allowed Swann in the side.

Is Graeme Swann the New Monty Panesar? Well, if you mean "Will Swann pay a few respectable Tests, then get figured out by opposition teams and start bowling shite and being spanked all over the place?" We'll only know for sure in a couple of years.

Re: Is Graeme Swann the New Monty Panesar?
I recall several instances of Sage during my C4 days.
That was usually when people actually responded to my incoherent babbling. These days because I'm a mainstay fixture on the forum, people respond with "sage you effing qunt".
Do you ever get used to it? No never. But then again, I'm not a saging effing qunt.
You've got to have your critics. It's just unfortunate that everyone on FB is mine.

Phurt...
It probably meant you were remanufacturing someone else's sagacity under your own packaging.

Which is not cool at all...
I'm surprised you haven't milked the Swanny career to the max on here tbh. I'd have still been on about it...

Nice. Like a beach ball that wasn't even inflated properly in the first place.
