Spanky was suggesting that Hilditch should resign following his appalling performance for this Test. That should pretty much ensure Hilditch gets another 3 years at the job.

Horrie, no one on this forum will disagree with you on DHussey's appalling treatment by the NSP (which doesn't include any Dubbers BTW).
OI...we do not want any of our players demoted to the Oz team

Should only be 14 ...i reckon they completed the single before the 5th ball went for 4 ...was a complete joke they got themselves into that position

wozzies have been the major disappointment of the season so far...they have some terrific bats and decent bowlers...injuries have no doubt cruelled them a bit...felt for bandy having his face redecorated by the goat (incidentally the goat is by far the quickest and most ferocious bowler in Oz)...ollie can count himself stiff not to be in the 3rd test..
i think the loss of ginger has really hurt the wozzies at the top of the order...Embee - have you heard the stories about team disharmony coming out of WA..
a wozzie mate claims there is much angst between woody, the coach and the team...

IIRC, the laws say the boundary counts for four, unless the batsman have crossed on the fifth or more runs? ie, the batsman gets the greater value, a boundary or runs physically made.embee wrote:JGK wrote:Aye - 17 off 5 balls in the last over.

Had the ball been fielded and they'd run three, then only the first, winning, run would have counted, otherwise a four or six counts full value.

havent heard anything , Horrie ...but it wouldnt surprise me
Woody is a tough nut to work for ...TLA did some temping at CUB in Perth ...she said woody was a great boss but you didnt want to do it any other way but his ...or farque up ...
...and the wozzies are certainly farquing up ....they had four batsmen in the team last night who could play Tests for Australia and yet none of them had the cricket sense to be there at the end and all threw their wickets away with either lazy shots or poor running ...

In that case you'd better write to the ICC and get Sachin's most recent century against England revoked then...embee wrote:Zat wrote:IIRC, the laws say the boundary counts for four, unless the batsman have crossed on the fifth or more runs? ie, the batsman gets the greater value, a boundary or runs physically made.embee wrote:JGK wrote:Aye - 17 off 5 balls in the last over.

The Poisoned Chalice has struck again ...
The Wozzies have dropped Pombasher for the Big Bash game against the Vomits ...carrying the can for the top order failures ...funny but I think he was at 4 or 5 last year when he scored all his runs ...they've tried to make him a number three ( and a T20) opener and dropped him because he's failed ...put the pressure on Voges or North and make them bat up the order ....Pombasher has more talent than any Wozzie batsman (bar bog) ...

NSW scraped home with 4 wickets in hand and 10 balls to spare. Another 15-20 runs by SA would have made for a better finish.
