Bhaiya has a better average than Gupte but only has 19 wickets

The Indians that beat General Custer had much more team spirit than this mob. They were willing to die for their cause...

Hardly top quality fast bowling.

i think the team that beat England in '86 was better. The batting was as strong and they had Kapil Dev too.

I assume Tendy, Azza, Kumble and Srinath all played together at some point in the 90s...that would have been a stronger side than this one.

Where are the third and fourth seamers?

Sreesanth is top quality when he manages to find his brain. RP Singh has shown he can do a decent job as a 3rd seamer when he gets the chance in good wickets. Munaf Patel has always had potential, but very little else. Even he does a good steady job. ANd then there's Pathan who'll atleast contribute with runs if not wickets. The pace bowling is the least of our worries.

And FWIW, the 2004 team had better batting (even with the same batsmen if that makes any sense), the team today has much much better bowling. And a keeper-batsman that can keep wickets. So, I'd give the edge to the present team.

Certainly right up there.
