It makes me so mad

that someone like Brett Lee can make millions of dollars from rolling his arm over.

He is as useless as tits on a bull.

Bung's slower ball is still 30 kmph slower than his standard ball.

The only thing that makes me angrier is seeing someone like that hack Rio Ferdinand taking home hundreds of thousands of pounds a week in the Premier League.

Bung is one of a number of passengers in the boys club that passes for the Australian cricket team, until the selectors grow some nads nothing is going to change.

The adage has been for years that it is harder to get out of the Aussie team than to get into it.

But are there any better alternatives to Lee? I don't think so.

Lee-Clark-Johnson is still a good pace attack.

And Lee was a failure only in India series. This series is only one match old, and it looked like he did bowl alright without getting wickets.

Lee has always been a solid bowler...nothing more, nothing less.

Dale Steyn he is not
Shoaib Akhtar he is not

C Vaas he is.

Lee has often been ridiculously expensive and wayward. His shortcomings in moany fields other than pace were, for many years, covered by the combination of the two great men. As the spearhead of the attack, he has struggled quite a bit. Some good performances, but a lot of tosh in there as well.

I'm listening to the ABC coverage and one of the most sage SMS texts to the ABC team read "can Ponting show some respect to Siddle and forget about Lee" And this was before he got rid of Smith.

Every so often, he does pull out a good performance against good opposition, e.g. against India a year ago.

And he does make a few runs.
