Talking about firemen, I was in the local cake shop the other day and had picked a number to wait my turn. At the back of each number they have these little sayings. On the back of mine it said "Fire-fighting is like sex, it's all about size, technique and equipment". Usually they're a lot more prosaic than that. I thought it a little risque though given that some kids pick up these cards.
