Back off the match: What an absolute sham and disgrace that there're so few people in for the first day of the first match of a Test series featuring two decent teams.
Re: Pak v South Africa, 1st Test, Karachi, 1st-5th Oct
Kallis- 11 off 32 balls.
Emphatically showing the selectors why he should have been in the twenty20 team.

Strangely Indian ODI crowds took a dip last year. The T20 win seems to have brought them back. Also it was nice to see the India A-SAf A match being decently attended, compared to normal crowds for non-intl. matches.

BB, I can't explain why Pakster crowds find Test cricket boring. I've been to Tests there and am disgusted myself that most prefer to attend the short version. It's a huge problem and I can't see how PCB will solve it.

More people in India and Pakistan with access to tv's these days? Could that be a reason?

Don't really know. I can't speak for India and I can only reason that for Pakistan, the majority of whom are very poor, taking five days off to watch a sport is just not feasible when you have little money for food and shelter. I may be wrong.

Looking at the pitch, this should be a high-scoring draw . . . unless the 'stanis crumble like a deck of cards . . .

Tac, did you know Prince was born June 7th, Turing died June 7th and he went to Kings? Sorry, back to the match, SA 157 for 2.

Nope. There is very uneven bounce bounce on the pitch and it might become unplayable on 4th and 5th day.

The pitch is a featherbed and will get lower and slower as the match wears on . . . Saffies will score 600 and the 'stanis will will bat out or collapse.
