hmm...I looked at spuds action too...was hard to tell but i think any action at normal speed that looks a bit suss, it is likely to be so...did think his action looked a bit akimbo..
did not really watch botha's action so can't comment on that...
ps botha looks like an extra from a movie set in Berlin circa 1944

Hard to pick Botha.
Geddit! Pick Botha! (wipes away tears of self-amusement.)
I'm so funny I should be on ABC radio.

PP, we only need Tait if he can bowl sustained spells of variety in the longer form of the game. His "I'm buggered after one over" comment didn't bode well for a smooth transition into the test form. Once he tires, he becomes easy to hit and he lacks control. And all that is assuming that his body stands up to the rigours of test cricket. Steyn in contrast was profligate in his first spell but was able to back up in his final two overs with good pace and control. And he can do that for long periods in tests. Ditto Siddle for that matter.

FFS are people really suggesting that the soft pie chucker (who did bowl magnificently in the last World Cup) should be in the Test XI?

Re: Shaun Tait- Just saw the 1st over....
Tait has had a pretty sub-ordinary season in the Shield.
Good luck to him in the ODIs and rubbish, but I don't feel we can carry a pure "shock" bowler in the test team at this time.

Tait is NPFAA in Tests but will be first picked in the lesser forms.
If he's smart, he will find a good agent to tape his first over yesterday and send it to all the IPL franchises.
