True enough, he picked Hayden for all three tests when many knowledgeable critics were suggesting that his career should have been terminated after the kiwi series. He also selected Lee and Symonds for Melbourne who appeared to be under injury clouds.

On raw statistics Hildy is right ...

...but if selectors just went on raw statistics then anyone could do it ...

They must have known that Lee had injury doubts ....

and Hayden's form has been very ordinary ...(if they backed him to come good and he didn't ...then surely you should say that ....rather than just bag the player)

Hussey's failure was a shock ....but perhaps he was "due" for a bad series

He forgot to mention Symonds ...who had form and injury problems

Phurt, I think those 3 would be first to put their hands up anyway . . . the question remains as to what to do about it . . .

Lee is gone for my money, Haydos should get the trip to SA and dumped if he doesn't perform, simply coz I wouldn't use that trip to blood a new opener . . .

Hussey was bound to have a slow period after 2 years of knocking it out of the park. Let's ee how he comes back . . . if no good, give his brother a run.

The other question is what to do about No. 6 . . . does Roy come back, do we stick with Ronnie or do we bang Nikki straight in there?
