Finally, Midge gets a wicket.
Good one to get, too, JAM could have hurt us.

Fark he can play:
44.1 Johnson to Duminy, SIX!!, pitched up and Duminy gets stuck into that one, full swing of the willow and sent packing down the ground over long on for a biggie, massive!

Yes.
Sometimes someone can bowl what is basically a good over at the death, and still get carted for 20 because of great skill or good luck by the batsman, and you can but feel sorry for them.
but that was just shit on a stick.

I think MJ is intimidated by the exasperating JP!

MJ's rest doesn't seem to have done him much good. Maybe he needs to play 24/7 to keep his mojo working.

JP 50 off 33 - the player of the summer for me.

Hilfenhaus, on the other hand, might be the pleasant surprise of the series.

Good effort in this match given how MJ and Ferny have been treated.

Was disappointing during the 'live' rubbers though.

289 the target.
Fat farking chance...
Well done JP - my new favourite non-Aussie player.

Australia is shorter in the betting.
Remember they have two debutants and the inexperienced big Morkel plus the expensive little Morkel. Botha shouldn't be as effective in Perth either where it's traditionally tougher for spinners.
Clarke is back.
Aussie pride is well and truly on the line here.

"Was disappointing during the 'live' rubbers though."
I wouldn't have said so.
He's been the only one of our bowlers to reliably take wickets.

He took some 'cheap' wickets, i.e. of batsmen having a tonk but went for runs and didn't get the top order ones which put pressure on the rest of the order chasing a total.

So he's like all the other bowlers but he took a few wickets.

He hasn't made the step to international ranks in the fashion that people were expecting.

More utter rubbish. He bowled well, swinging the ball both ways. He's not a 'death' bowler, is all.
