Curse of the KFC
This was actually brought to my attention by a learned colleague of ours, but has anyone noticed that all the "stars" (except for Midge) of the KFC and 3 Mobile commercials being aired this Aussie summer have either suffered massive form slumps, been injured or both? The KFC adds feature MtFTB, Roy, Paris and Midge while the 3 Mobile ads feature Bung, Gump and Paris (I think Punter might sneak his ratty head on at some stage, too.).
Is it the curse of the sponsors that has killed Australia's summer?

Re: Curse of the KFC
more like the curse of the sponsors exemption/wild card entry in the case of Roy and certainly in the case of Bunk (who did not feature in the kfc ads)
certainly the wildcard sponsors exemption (Bung) has hurt us over the years

phurt @skully...you know perfectly well that for years Brett Lee has been selected for the Oz team on the basis of a sponsor's exemption

Re: Curse of the KFC
heard an ACB flack last week handing a question about whether commercial interests had played a part in Roy's selection...he did not even attempt plausible denial and rattled on about how the kids absolutely worship Roy

The only thing I know perfectly well (other than cricket trivia) is that you speak gibberish, h.horace wrote:phurt @skully...you know perfectly well that for years Brett Lee has been selected for the Oz team on the basis of a sponsor's exemption

Oz JAMODIs haven't been the same since the introduction of the bottle green jumper, over the Australian Gold version.
