Yeah yeah, i'm biased against the Aussies etc, but I do think that his game has too many flaws for a top team not to eventually figure him out. You can be sure that every team's analyst now has video of Hughes batting, and they'll be making plans.

I was wondering when some goose in the Spiv media would make the comparison again. They already did it during the Shield season.

So far it doesn't seem to have had any effect on the kid, which is good.

But if he winds up with 7000+ runs after his first 52 Tests at an average of better than 100, with one century (on average) every 3 or so innings, then the comparison might be valid. Until then, Meh.
