Re: Who are world cricket's current DUD players?
Just looking at Agarkar's ODI stats- 191 matches, and 288 wickets at an average of 27. Impressive. His economy rate was a bit high, but he consistently took early wickets for India.

Agree - Agarkar wasn't the best but plenty sucked way more than he did.
Nearly 300 JAMODI wickets is an achievement.

It's a shame Khaled Mahmud has retired, though.

Meh. I hardly ever record anything (given I'm always on the PC) and the Chief is happy to use the old magnetic tape machine. As I said, when it carks it, I'll get one of them Tivo devices (or some such) my Yankee buddies rave about.

Well mine works through the digital satellite network and gives 2 channels to watch and records on a 3rd.
I particularly like the pause/replay live TV. Great to check decisions especially in slomo.

Re: Who are world cricket's current DUD players?
According to this article, most News Corp readers think Clarke is dud (although they get most other things right):
CRICKET fans have branded Michael Clarke Australia's most overrated player and called for national selection chairman Andrew Hilditch to be sacked. Australia's grand plan to install Clarke as our next Test captain has been rocked by an exclusive Daily Telegraph survey of more than 3500 people that shows fans are not sold on the flashy vice-captain, despite his performance in the Ashes, when he was top runscorer with 448 at 64.
And Hilditch, Australia's controversial chairman of selectors, has been shown the door by cricket lovers with 73 per cent demanding that he be punted. The message from fans is they have no confidence in Hilditch, who has made some bewildering decisions, with a mere 17 per cent believing he should stay in the job.
Coach Tim Nielsen also copped a spray from fans with less than half sure that he is the right man for generational change. Fans were particularly damning of Clarke as they thought the public profile of Australia's Test captain-in-waiting outstripped his talent. .
Of the survey respondents, 14 per cent insisted Clarke was the most over-hyped cricketer in the nation, ahead of Shane Watson (11 per cent) and Shaun Tait (10 per cent). The wide-ranging fan survey also revealed:
* VETERAN batsman Mike Hussey should not retire from Test cricket with an overwhelming majority of fans supporting him;
* INJURY-PLAGUED former spearhead Brett Lee is on the nose with 52 per cent of fans claiming he is finished as a Test cricketer;
* ONLY 19 per cent of Australians believe international cricketer of the year Mitchell Johnson is the world's best Test bowler;
* FANS believe young gun Phillip Hughes was harshly treated when he was axed during the Ashes series;
* THE one-day international format has retained surprising support with most fans claiming Twenty20 cricket should not take over;
* FANS worry the billion-dollar Indian Premier League is the biggest threat to the health of international cricket.
The survey - particularly the results involving Clarke and Hilditch - provides a major talking point leading into the first Test against the West Indies starting at the Gabba tomorrow. But Clarke can take solace from the fact that 55 per cent of fans still believe he is the right person to step into Ricky Ponting's shoes.

That's actually a very interesting survey....
Instead of dwelling on the bullshit questions like some, the following give me hope for the game:
Q: Will 2020 become No1?
No 73%
Q: Has Tests cricket lost it's status?
No 78%
Q: Should 2020 replace ODIs?
No 76%
Q: Too much international cricket?
Yes 63%
Considering the sample size, and the age bracket (77% aged between 18 and 49) it's a bloody good result in my book.
