Who would you rather see wear the baggy green this summer?
Re: Hoggy at the last chance saloon
Fark off, we need him to take Sreesanth out with a brick behind the dressing rooms.

What an attention-grabbing queen!
Top performer, though. As Aathma said, been consistent when called upon to perform, for Australia. WGAF about what he does or doesn't do in domestic cricket?!

Yeah, so I'm a bit slow. No need to hammer it in.

I tend to agree with comments above that whichever spinner we play will get hammered. So if we must have a frontline tweaker, might as well be one who can bat, field and plays for the team.

Re: Hoggy at the last chance saloon
Can't remember seeing Hogg thrashed too often and if he is he is taken off straight away. He often comes back later and takes a wicket. He bowls well here in Australia when his adrenaline is up in big games.
Batsman find it hard to pick him and that is his strength.
If he is not taking wickets he still can put the brake on.

Prepare some fast tracks & go with the four man pace attack.
Actually I am a little concerned about the possibility of MacGill, Tait & Jaques in the same team. It will be a bit hard to hide all three in the field.

Looks like Midge may be ahead of Spud come Test selection...and he's okay in the field from memory.

Yes. He fields well. Got a rocket arm. And can handle a bat as well.

But if you asked 100 test cricketers, 99 will tell that Hogg is difficult to face because he does not bowl that one boundry ball per over. (Ask the Indians, who makes the norm o spin playing. MacGill had been slaughterd by them)

But unlike JAMODIs, there's no pressure to score off every ball that Hoggy!!! bowls, hence his FC/Test records not being as good.
