This is an ongoing prob, I think mynah . . . same occurred during the Indian tour of Oz as well . . . but was eventually resolved

True, it's not new... I recall when we just had old SABC with four channels you'd be miffed if your team's game wasn't broadcast, but at least you were assured of seeing the rugby tests (no cricket tests at the time...) and finals of competitions. Then we got MNet, which extended sport coverage - if you could pay for the service. If not, you were not assured of seeing the important games anymore. When we got satellite TV, you could watch sport on about ten channels - but even less was available free or even on MNet...

Didn't this happen during NZ's Test Series in Aus not so long ago? Or was that the IndOz series?
Anywho, this really is a good look for Lalit Modi and his flying Circus, supposedly doing the "Greater Good" for Cricket by propelling it onto the world stage. This is Privitisation of Cricket as we know it, or atleast one step towards it.
Gawd, imagine if the ICC ever offered Modi a job if this IPL business caves. We'd all be screwed.
