So, he'll bowl about 30 fewer overs in his career with this ban.

Ah, apparently it includes the 20/20 world cup matches and the Tests against SA.

Effectively, it means he will be available for the last ODI against
South Africa and more realistically, the tour to India thereafter.

He's also been put on two year probabtion. Basically: anymore indiscretions and he's banned for life.

Well, one final chance to redeem himself. Any more fark ups and he will be forced into retirement. Unfortunately Asif and Gul have been unable to bowl out the Saffies cheaply during this series and now Asif is injured. Pakistan, like most sides at the moment, don't have deep reserves of fast bowling talent.

I used to think he was ok. A bit eccentric, but ok. Charismatic etc....But now it's obvious that he's just a plonker who thinks he's much, much better than he really is. FFS apparently the dressing room argument started because he claimed he was as highly respected in Pakistani cricket as Imran!

The players must be scared of sharing a dressing room with him now. What if someone laughs when 'King Shoaib' is in a bad mood and gets a bat to the temple? It's pretty obvious he cant control himself, so how long is it until someone gets seriously hurt by this violent behaviour?

Just take him off the 'roids and he'll be fine!

Were going to seriously punish him for whacking a teammate with a bat... I know, how about we ban him for all of the games he has missed or was going to miss anyway..
