It was indeed mainly for the tune. Any excuse sometimes!

Booger it ... clouds breaking up here (west of Lord's by some 50Km) ... heading that way ... blue skies appearing too!
Need the cloud cover and damp atmosphere to finish them off today.

I've pretty much given up on this match, I'm just hoping young Simmo gets some runs.
Plus it would be nice to have a look at Bresnan.

Far cry from the roads and blue skies of the Carribbs hey WIFAN ?
Think your lads can still hang onto the Wisden trophy after sneaking in the 1 - 0 series win earlier this year ?

Well our bowlers caused you lots of problems again did they not? How was I supposed to know that they would drop 6 catches in a single session.
The batting and attitude has been piss poor though and they look like men that don't think this tour should have taken place. It's time for a few of them to man up and get on with the job at hand, cold weather or not.

The Aussies won't let us off the hook like that.WIFAN wrote:Well our bowlers caused you lots of problems again did they not? How was I supposed to know that they would drop 6 catches in a single session.

Yeah, Clive, Viv, Gordon, Maco etc would have pulled an extra sweater on and dealt with it.
I'm worried that the little bugger at #5 might dig in all day, though. (Why is he at #5? It's a complete waste, he should be at '3.)

Doesn't fancy facing Swanny opening the bowling. Doesnt. Fancy. It. At. All.

Not sure why Shiv stays at 5 tbh. The team management are loathe to move him for some reason.
It seems a tad unfair that Simmons is batting at number 4 when we have the Worlds best batsman in our team.

I think people are putting way too much emphasis on WI vs. The Cold Weather. It's pseudo-journalistic clown jizz. Get the phuck over it, the Windies did.

Will the game reach the weekend?

Yeah, the Windies will probably win this match. They will need until Sunday to do so.

Ok thats it I never want to see Smith play for us again. That moved in the tiniest bit and he played completely down the wrong line AGAIN.

Yeah, although I almost blame the month of May....
Re: England v West Indies, 1st Test, Lord's, May 6-10
No I blame an unmotivated bunch of skunts playing for us in this test.
I don't care how well England have bowled or that the pitch has quickened up on days 2/3, this is an unacceptable beating.
Someone has to stand up and make a 50 at least even if the match is going to end today.

WIFAN - just can't understand why you keep barrelling into Smith in this Test - the poor bugger's top scored in both innings thus far (46 and 41) and has been the glue for the top order! The ball moves a fraction and takes his edge and you kick his arse with a view to dropping him for the next gig !!
Amazing !
Is he to the WIndies what the Bellhop is to us, perchance?
