Sri Lanka v England, 5th ODI, Colombo, 13th Oct
Should qualify for official JAMODI status now the series is dead. Weirdly, it's England who have nothing to play for going into the game.
When was the last time that happened? And why am I a little bit scared?
What's going on?

Did I hear right?
If we win this game we go to 4th in the ODI rankings?
If we lose we stay 7th

Re: Sri Lanka v England, 5th ODI, Colombo, 13th Oct
Time to bring out new players. Drop Tharanga, get Dilruwan in. I want the horror show to stop. i.e. English spinners spinning it more than locals.

Now it will just be "the world's best finger-spinner" (circa Felch 2006 Eng V Pak series) firing in darts at a speed and trajectory that wouldn't allow even the best Labour spindoctor any turn at all.

Who gives a toss?
I'm gonna run Dello down in the fantasy cricket today, only 30-odd points behind.

You must be quite high in the overall scheme of things? I'm 80th out of the 2000+ so you must be top 50 at least?
I've been carrying Bell FFS, so today I'm going with Shah.

That's a mistake. Dead rubber equals no pressure equals big score from Bright Eyes.
Think I'm top 20 in the overall thing. For now.

Bright Eyes . . . I like it. Brings back memories of the Goodies Watership Downs take-off.

So, basically, oh higher men than I - should I have basically chosen no SAs and Paks and then change them when these series finished?
Re: Sri Lanka v England, 5th ODI, Colombo, 13th Oct
Got the feeling we're going to get muntered here - can't see the Lankans wanting to be 40-3 off 18 overs again...

Hmmmmmm, Jayasuriya looks like he means business today. Smites a 4 off his first ball.
Could get ugly this.
Yes second ball swiped as well. He's definitely going to go for it today.
