"You show me yours and I'll show you mine" ...
This ought to be fun ...

I said the best bowler averaged over thirty. You contest this by saying that Kallis was the best because he averaged marginally under thirty but he took five fewer wickets. The best bowler is not always the one with the best average. Sometimes someone can lead the averages with very few wickets.
Prove that Kallis was the best bowler!

He was probably the best
If Flintoff or Harmison had his stats there would a few poms beating off on here.
Since 2004 Flintoff has taken 155 wickets @ 27, Kallis hasn't been near that - I think Freddiekins is quite happy with how it's gone since his stats read - batting average 18 & bowling average 50

Ah, the selective stats defence.

The point is that you were farking wrong as usual. For once in your benighted existence, stand up and admit it.
Go back to the original statement, best bowler on both sides averaged over thirty, so not technically wrong unless you can objectively prove who was best as stated since that post.

Or called, 'living in the now' - you'd have to be a bit of a cock to think Flintoff is the same bowler now that he was 7 years ago. Similarly Kallis is nowhere near the bowler he was 7 years ago. He's a bit of a Bangla/Zim bully in truth. Taking his wickets @ 33,42 & 71 respectively against Aus,Eng & Ind. Flintoff in the meantime has taken close to 100 wickets at 29 v India,Aus & SA

True, he was actually bowling 7 years ago.

Yup the big man is getting lots of different injuries the last 18 months, no doubt. But he still wouldn't want Kallis' figures for the past 7 years, he's been a different class as a bowler in that time.
