What sort of sentence does smuggling 100k of Coke get you these days?

It's a shame. It sort of sounds feasible, his story, but not enough.

He'll probably get a 5-7.

It's a shame but i've not got much sympathy.

Can't recall any other test cricketers doing a stretch. I'm sure there must have been one.

Don't buy his story at all.

They always ask you if you've been given anything to carry on the plane by anyone else.

Wasted his talent, and now he's wasted his life.

The bloke's an idiot.

13 years ... ! Bloody hell !
Stupid sod ... trying to make a fast buck the 'easy way' - until caught.
What a waste.

Sunstroke in WI, late for a Lord's test match, now this.

The guy has always been slack. He could have been the 1990s New Botham, and now look at him.

Idiot.

Unfortunately now he will remembered more for this than for being Wasim's victim in the 1992 final

A guy I went to school with got sent down for bringing coke back in the country from his holiday in Columbia, "hidden" in a cowboy boot.

Don't know about you, but if I was coming back into Blighty from the drug capital of the world, I'd probably err on the side of caution and assume that I might get searched at customs.

At least stick it up your arse, kid.

By the sounds of it, Lewis might get a bit of practice at doing precisely that over the next 13 years.

Oz indeed. Or 'Fortress 2, which starred Christopher Lambert, and had a fleeting appearance by Warwick Capper. One of thos emovies that starts on the teev after you've fallen asleep with a belly full of grog, and you wake up in the middle of it going 'what the hell is this crap?' but are too drunk & tired to change channels or turn the teev off.
