problem with the pakistani players-ipl teams is that the teams know they have the upper hand. pakistani players are not essential for the success of the teams or the ipl and if no team can have them everyone is on the same level. for the players though the ipl is the only high-paying league so far, they dont have other options if they want that kind of pay. to act pricey would be counter-productive imo. better to be approachable

Shows the lucre of Indian money is showing on him.

But wasn't he the one who asked Pak cricketers to shun IPL, that country is bigger than money, blah, blah and blah.

And didn't he sook unashamedly about Pak players getting lesser money in IPL probably a day or 2 later?

So which version should we take as his final one?

I suspect the franchisees may not be interested in contract renewals at all, WC champions or not.

Especially when the contracts have already been signed up for 3 years. How could the price be renegotiated then?

But then, Younis and sense, perhaps asking for too much.

Getting back to the subject of the thread:

a) whether the Pak government will let them go,
b) whether they can get an Indian visa and
c) whether they can attain a mutually binding contract in the first place

I suspect the franchisees may not be interested in contract renewals at all, WC champions or not. Methinks it is pretty stupid putting the cart before the horse.
