Judging by the support they got in the T20 WC, it can become a home of sorts for the Pakistanis.

Good move by the ECB. It may be a vote-bonding exercise, but definitely useful for both sides.

The cynic in me says the ECB wouldn't have done this unless they were guaranteed a fairly healthy return from TV rights and gate receipts.

I hope the pitches are QUICK!

Mitch Johnson @150KPH vs some of our FTBs like Malik, Misbah, A Razzaq and Butt(Faisal Iqbal isn't even an FTB) will be quite a good sight- who can forget what Steve Harmison did to them at Old Trafford.


Hope Aamer does even BETTER than Johnson.

But when can England hold those matches? Its own season is generally packed with minimum 6 tests, few T20s and 10 ODIs. When will they find time for the neutral tests?

I'm sure these matches will fit in somewhere. Quite possibly at the same time as the England Tests, as they're strictly speaking Pakistan home games, not English matches.

You're right. That too would be their short term goal. Makes sense; why would anyone go to this extent without the corresponding monetary gains? Two birds with one stone. Clearly that cock-and-bull story about not wanting to isolate Pakistan is a right honourable media camouflage.

Though of course 4 of our tests that season are against ....... Pakistan. Can only see them fitting it in towards the early part of the season.
