Most likely scenario

Johnson's sh!teness continues and Watson loses a leg when he bumps the gate on his way onto the field.

We are left with 5 batsmen and 3 bowlers

Sincerely hope this is a cover up to say he is getting the arse, but I fear not. Mad

I'm certain that if we play our best cricket we will win this Test match ...
Recent history to the contrary. IIRC, the last couple of times we've gone 1-0 down in a series, we've been unable to recover. Does 'play our best cricket' actually mean 'roll over and present a fully lubed arse'?

As an English fan, I am delighted that Aus feel the need to drop the next Bradman in favour of a walking crock who's played one 3 day game since his last injury.

Fark. All of England is pointing and laughing at us.

I hate Ponting and the NSP. I think my brain will explode when Midge goes for 8 and over and WHI breaks down.

If before Northampton Ponting and co were at least considering the idea of opening the batting with Watson at Edgbaston, then why on Earth didn't they open with him in the tour game? As it is, they opened with Andrew McDonald in the second innings. Bizzare, but good to see the Aussies thinking like England used to in the mid 90's- ie no logic whatsoever.

All of Australia is saying leave Midge out for Gump.

All of Australia is saying Shane Watson - WTF?

Ponting's head is saying:

I'm Ricky Ponting, I can do what I like.
