Well, well, well.... what a big surprise.
Not really. Straight, accurate bowling has brought rewards against bloke who aren't playing at them.

That was something good to watch, real swing bowling beating the bat.
Who can swing it like that for the Aussies?

Indeed Dan. Yes, the ball was swinging, but the line by Onions and Jimmy was outstanding.Brass Monkey wrote:Rob I wrote:Good lordy, I can't see this but I assume that the Swing Track Bullies are back?

The ball was swinging, but good bowling really. When it does swing, Onions and Anderson in particular are absolutely lethal.

Prolly Milf and Sids, but Midge will tear the carp out of the ball by landing it anywhere but on the seam. Hopefully the new ball goes to the first two and they can make some inroads. But relative confidence levels in the two team will probably ensure that doesn't happen.eowyn wrote:That was something good to watch, real swing bowling beating the bat.

It seems in these conditions, most of them. Hilf for deffo but I haven't seen Jim swing it like this for a while.
Still, without half the oppo missing the more easy of balls the session wouldn't have been half as good. Just got to hope England play the accuracy a lot better than that.

Thanks everyone.
So Hilf and Sids need to open for the Aussies, to keep the test alaive for the Aussies. (and we need to bat using our brains)

For once, I'm glad we've got a crab up top who plays inside the line and shoulders arms at every poor ball. We need a 50 off 150 type innings.

I can easily see England getting out cheaply if the ball is swinging. I mean it's not like we have an issue with Cook playing around his front pad, Bopara playing loosely, Bell nicking every away swinger to slip, Collingwood getting trapped on the crease, Flintoff edging to slip, Prior being bowled through the gate and the tail folding is it?
So it's all on Strauss then.

No, he plays out rabid scenarios. "Of course Strauss will now get hit by a diving seagull whose nest he destroyed. Then Bopara will get bowled by a no ball that Siddle bowled from 12 yards and Rudi will have missed it. Then Flintoff will die... simply die."
