Fred - the Icy Pole
he certainly seemed to lose the taste for himself during the 6/7 Ashes tour here as he was continually humbled, but 3 wickets and another 2 "wickets" has seen Fred back to doing what he likes to do - giving himself a damn good lick...

'I never thought I would see anything to rival the evil hubris of the Bung chainsaw - but fred's crucifix pose takes the cake...what a complete tossbag..at least he remembered to give the umps a hug

And you stare at me
In your jesus christ pose
Arms held out
Like youve been carrying a load
And you swear to me
You dont want to be my slave
But youre staring at me
Like I need to be saved
In your jesus christ pose
In your jesus christ pose
Arms held out
Like youve been carrying a load
And you swear to me
You dont want to be my slave
But youre staring at me
Like I need to be saved
In your jesus christ pose

Unfortunately, I think he can get away with this as long as Blighty does well.

Personally, I think it's awesome, and totally appropriate. Great cricketer who reserves his greatness (unfortunately) for home Ashes battles.horace wrote:he certainly seemed to lose the taste for himself during the 6/7 Ashes tour here as he was continually humbled, but 3 wickets and another 2 "wickets" has seen Fred back to doing what he likes to do - giving himself a damn good lick...

And can the man whip up the crowd. Farkin legend.
It was always gonna be Fred that stopped any miracle, and he didn't disappoint the Lords crowd and adoring masses watching on Teev.

Doesn't Afridi adopt the same Messianic pose on taking a wicket? I'm sure he did in that T20 mallarkey recently. Wonder who's copying who?

Dunno - has Fred dragged his spikes across a pitch to rough it up when everyone else was distracted yet?

Wasn't Jesus a few centuries ahead of Mohammed ... I guess there's your answer, jont!
Anyway - anything Pom-esque that get's up Horrie's nostrils and singes the hairs there will do me nicely.
Fred's a legend - so savour it horace you myopic old Roman ... you have another 15 days ahead of you to endure TGP's prowess over your lot !

Aye. As long as he doesn't start pirouetting on a length. Those time-wasting tactics in Cardiff were toe curling enough, even though they were clearly down to Flower. No way a Pom could stoop to that kind of caper.

Come to think of it, haven't all of our embarrassing moments, in all walks of life, been down to the colonials?

Definitely. We'd have won in 1066 if we hadn't been using Australian arrows which were bent; that fire in 1666 was started in a curry house whose previous owner brought the plague over from India. Even that iceberg was manufactured in Canada in 1912..
