Re: So which FBers had the pleasure?
I'll say this - there were some serously fit Aussie birds knocking around Lord's ..... shame they had to open their mouths to speak though !!!
.
.
.
Runs and hides ..........
PS - Only kidding ... there was great banter for most part ... mixed with amusing stories - one of which concerned me.
I was loitering in the Lord's shop on Thursday afternoon when confronted by a rather large Aussie who had clearly played his part in trebling the bar profits over the past 4 hours ... "... 'xcuse me maite" he boomed - "wots that tai yer wearing?" ... his finger pointing waveringly, an inch from my throat.
"MCC" I said ... "ah... thanks maite" he replied ... then turning to his equally worse for wear (but really fit) sheila beside him he said " yea, yore right, babe - MCC ..." adding as an afterthought "... melbourne cricket club".
He was there to buy a souvenier England cap ... bless !!
PMSL ...

Melbourne Cricket Club members have reciprocal access to Lords though, so it isn't as daft as it might seem.

I loved my Lord's visits but they have to do something about the quality of their key-rings. The first time I went the old bloke on the gate was great though. It was late April and he said before they start official tours but he obligingly gave me a one on one.
