Anyways, stick someone else forward - we'll take 16 with us, probably 9 batters including two keepers. That leaves 7 spots, Broad, Swann, Anderson, Onions, ??? & ???.
Harmison doesn't know, but I expect he will tour. Sidebo is a must IMO.
If Harmy doesn't, then who will? Probs another spinner but doubt they will be able to dislodge Swannage.
Gareth Batty?

as for Amla, still has the random backlift, but its now in the right position at delivery, as opposed to it being very inside out before. He is a quality test 3 IMO.
It's a lot straighter these days Charlie.
Aye, but he still takes it up and out, then back around to the correct position on delievery doesn't he?
Still not good, but not out as far as before.
Aye, one of my mates played with him when he was over here at Essex for a little bit. Said he was a top bloke, and farking awesome.
Doesn't drink though.
Decent Bloke and drives the lads home after a night out... Touch!!

Gaz Batts? Cannot believe that filth ever got in front of Swann. It makes me fume to this day, I think it always will. The figures speak for themselves, as does that utterly stupid "face fit" thing that Fletcher had going on. Has Swann f*cked up the team spirit? No. Will he ever? No.
All on the back of one late turn-up for a f*cking team bus.
What a massive qunt that bloke was....

Honestly, I say this with pure sincerity, but Robert Croft and Dean Cosker could do better than Gareth Batty.
His action and attitude are just horrid.

Well, Croft did. But then so did KP's dobbers just about.
I can't believe I even used to debate the Swann v Batty with a few on C4 - especially some wind-up tosser who pretended to be a Worcs schoolboy. Awful of me.
I should've just waited another 7 f*cking years for it all to come to fruition.
FLETCHER IS A QUNT!!!!!
Re: England's Bowling Attack for the SAF Tour
Batty averages a stunning 66 after 7 matches. Real Test talent.

He couldn't even dislodge a Bangladeshi batsman. He should not be allowed near the test squad, or even the ODI squad....oh wait.

Anderson
Onions
SiBo
Broad
Harmi
Swann
Panesar
I expect that will be what we take if Harmi doesn't retire. If he does, I'd be inclined to take someone like Kirby (21@20 in the FC Ave's), plus from what I hear from those that play a bit, he's a very very good bowler nowadays.

Aye, next Charlie will be hoping for Big Mac and Rogers to start for Aus against the Windies....

But in all seriousness, why not take him. He's been there or there abouts the last couple of seasons, he's a spicy character on the field, and a reliable bowler, who takes wickets at a good average.
Plunkett is a gashlord, he bowls as I would expect a Cyberman to turn his arm over!

Kirby is a mentalist.
When he loses it, he can go round the park.
I'd prefer the horseface...

Bowls it at an alrightish lick. I have no strong views. Done OK in a couple of Lions games IIRC. Bit 'left-field' though.

Yup he does. 'left-field' for sure, but Horseface and Plunkett are gashers, and he'd certainly do no worse for sure! See what he is made of.

Is he still doing that embarrasing thing of practising mid over trying to get his arm straight?
Utter gashlord imo.
If whoever chose Plunkett is basing it on the England Lion's performance then you might as well take Harris and Woakes along, for the experience.
It was me. Plunkett has talent. Actually, id say that on form, he is better than James Anderson. He can bat, too....

Re: England's Bowling Attack for the SAF Tour
I think Broad, Swann and Onions would be the first 3 bowlers on my list.
I'd go with 4 bowlers as Broad isn't a number 7, difficult to pick the final spot because Anderson was largely gash in this series and Harmison was bowling very well on Sunday, but on the other hand the Anderson cycle is due to come good fairly soon.
Given that it's away from home and Flintoff won't be there to hold his hand, I'd probably go with Jimmy in the starting line up.
Edit: Completely forgot about Sidebottom. It's between him and Jimmy for the final place in the starting line up (both will tour of course). Sidebottom isn't a pussy so I'll choose him.

Anyway, i've looked at the stats- Of the English fast bowlers in division one of the CC, Plunkett and Mahmood are the best (outside of the England team). There isn't really any other options unless we take a wet behind the ears Woakes or Finn. Like I said before- Tremlett has been utter crap this season.

So do we not select players from Division 2 anymore?
Feck off with those two gashlords, if they are our back-ups we are farked!

So which bowlers would you pick from division 2 then? Keeping in mind that it's widely agreed that division 2 is a lot worse than division 1 these days. Were you the Kirby advocator?

Wasn't it widely agreed that the Batters made hay against the bowlers? So surely a bowler with FC wickets of 22@21 has done okay?
And yes, from what I have heard and the way the chap is, I'd fancy him having a dart instead of the dross I have seen served up from Horseface a Kerplunk!

If they hadn't farked over Hoggard then I'd definately have him as backup, it's not going to happen though.
