2nd rate Windies for Australian Tour?
Wests Indies player strike threatens to spill over to Australian tour
By Peter Lalor
September 04, 2009
A strike by leading West Indies players could mean the side will arrive in Australia this summer with a second-string collection of no names captained by a 39-year-old university coach who has a batting average of nine.

Tell them to fark off and let the test players play shield matches. Run a 20 domestic if you have to.

Touch wood Cricket Australia have the balls to do that if the need arises. Hunte, Ramnarine and Jagdeo were apparently in talks at Providence stadium yesterday (during a charity 20/20 match organised by Sarwan), so hopefully it wont be necessary.
The WICB's arguement will be that we hosted weak Australia teams without complaint and now the shoe is on the other foot. Of course they fail to understand that this is completely different as the best players are available, the old fuggers at the WICB are playing a power game.

Once again, Zimi proves that news take time to reach the West.

Get farked. If you're talking about WSC you let your players double up. We fielded a shithouse team but you didn't ban your players (not that most of them played i know).
We could claim we hosted a weak team in '75.

I'm not saying I agree, I'm just saying that is the WICB's position. The fact is this is completely different as the best players have made themselves available already, the WICB is just being stubborn and playing the big bad boss.
