Just re-watched 12 Monkeys and Brazil. Might go on a Terry Gilliam spree and do The Fisher King next. Has anyone seen it? Is it worth a watch?

Also saw District 9 recently after all the rave reviews. Meh. It was alright. Nothing more. Anyone else seen it and is bemused by the hype?

I saw District 9 the other day. I liked it. Makes a change from all of the big budget garbage that comes out of Hollywood these days. It was different, and enjoyable.

I just watched The Bourne Identity again today. It really does piss all over the new Bond films. A great trilogy, and I hear that a fourth one will be made next year.

I recently bought Frost/Nixon and The Wrestler. Both extremely enjoyable films . The Wrestler has a simple concept, but powerful message, which Mickey Rourke plays outstandingly.

Frost/Nixon is gripping, with Michael Sheen playing the role with subtle determination.

I watched Bruno today as well. It was what I expected- Cringeworthy, occasionally outrageous, and pretty funny. 7/10.

The Fisher King used to be my favourite film- I'd probably find it a bit too Robin Williams beardy these days but would def recommend it. There's a great scene in Grand Central station where it become a big sort of beautiful ballroom.

Agree, the Bourne films are much better than Bond.

Last film I saw - 'Aliens in the Attic'. Smile

It's a SA movie, and therefore, by definition, over your head.

I got smashed with him once in a pub just outside the House of Commons. Can't even remember it's name but it was only a two minute walk.

Watched 'Defiance' with Daniel Craig the other day. Thought he was a little overshadowed by the other actors that played his brothers but a pretty good movie all round.

Been out for a while, but I watched Gone Baby Gone the other day. I may beomce a Casey Affleck fanboy if I'm not too careful - thought he was brilliant in TAOJJ and in this.

Amazing Grace, about William Wilberforce, very moving.

Watched Hancock again last night, I actually really like it.

Fisher King - excellent on on fantasy and halluciation. Poor on sentimentality. Just a view.

The original Pelham 123 with Walter Mathau and that fella from Jaws was really very good. I really wish they didn't have to remake and deficate on the memory of every decent film ever made.

I watched The Deer Hunter a few months back, one of the best Vietnam film's I've seen which isn't specifically about Vietnam itself. Along with that, Rumble Fish by Francis Ford Coppola , both superb.

Make's me wish I was born in Meryl Streep's era.
