How much worse than Ian Bell is Ravi Bopara?

It's a simple question, really. Ian Bell has set whole new standards of rubbishness in the England side, but Ravi Bopara has come in and shown the world that even those worst records are not unbeatable.

I don't understand this "worse than Ian Bell" thing that you speak of.

They're both competing to set new standards of craptacularity.

It's hard to find words to describe how bad this England one-day side is, but perhaps the only way to really express it is to say that bringing in Bell wouldn't make it any worse!

Averages 28 after 47 ODI's. In at least half of those games he's batted in the top 3. It's not good enough, but he's going to the Champions Trophy.

He deserved a crack, hasn't performed and it's time to move on.

Bell has at least scored a number of 50s (8 in test matches) against strong Aussie sides- Bopara got to 30 once.

I think it's back to the drawing board for Ravi- if Essex don't go up he should look for a 1st div county. He's not going to get any better facing Surrey's bowling attack.

Bopara is making Bell look like Punter.
