2nd Semi-Final: NZ v Pakistan, ICCCT, Jo'berg, Oct 3
Will Vettori and his men get past their par position in such a tournament, or will Pakistan dominate?

His fielding at mid-on is poor.

He is not Robinson Crusoe there
I think it is safe to say, fielding will not be the reason NZ win this tourney

Vettori will lose the tourney by recalling Punter.

from the sounds of other smerky posts, he now gives spiels on Horace in lectures in his uni course...
i expect this includes erudite treatises on Welsh nationalism and its links with Dylan Thomas and fenians and his views on neighbouring Pomgolia..
agree the zimhead reference may have been a little harsh, plus I exclude yorkies amongst others from being pomgolians

What I find so immensely rich is the forum's two biggest dickheads are commenting on another's dickheadedness.

Didn't know they had standards. Unless it's either to sound as boring as dry Weetabix or to sound like such a twat that you make Clarkson seem sound.
If that be the case then I disagree... their standards be at an all time high.
Re: 2nd Semi-Final: NZ v Pakistan, ICCCT, Jo'berg, Oct 3
NZ have a great chance because
1- Pakistani batsmen are FTBs and the match is at Jo'burg
2- NZ have Bond back.
3- PAK are all set to drop M Asif( according to some news channel)

Mohammed Aamer & Saeed Ajmal's 35 is the 2nd best for the Pakistani 10th wicket v. NZ only beaten by Shoaib Akhtar & Mohammed Sami's 39 at Napier in January 2004. It is also the 2nd best for the 10th wicket in all ODIs at the Wanderers and the best for all visiting teams beaten only by Klusener & Ntini's 38 v. Australia in March 2002.

naved and gul costing pak the match...determined stuff from the kiwis esp dan the man
45.3
Umar Gul to Elliott, SIX whoah, Elliott is turning on the style, singles? what are they, he says, smacks that one over midwicket for six, New Zealand are nearly home, it will need an almighty choke from here for New Zealand to go out
45.2
Umar Gul to Elliott, FOUR, Elliott shows us he's not a single-specialist, another boundary, again full, this time Elliott launches it wide of mid-on
The crowd has gone silent, even the bugler isn't to be heard
45.1
Umar Gul to Elliott, FOUR, fantastic shot from Elliott, full ball on off, backs away and lofts that between cover and extra cover for four, first ball for a boundary takes the pressure off
Umar Gul, the yorker specialist is on, for what is going to be a crucial over. Gul holds the key for Pakistan

Rana pretty much cost Pak the match, terrible bowling when all he needed to do was keep it tight. Well done NZ hopefuly they can take the Aussies. Good tourney for PAk though exceeded all expections esp getting through that group.

rana always goes for runs apart from at the death, kind of the opposite of praveen kumar. their lovechild could be the new joel garner.
i think the key battle was ajmal/afridi versus their middle order which clinched it for the kiwis.
