India vs Australia 2001 (Greatest Series Ever)

Well, I recently bought this DVD, and the quality is very impressive. The Cricket is immense from both sides.

I just want to hear peoples views on this series like what you think.

Bhajis Hattrick? Controversial or well played.
Haydens Double Century and VVS Laxmans outstanding innings.

Just wondering what the cricket experts on this forum think about it.

I'm a mere mortal in terms of my cricket knowledge.

VVS Laxman and Dravid's match-saving, match-winning partnership is the best batting partnership I have ever seen, under the most intense pressure, laced with the most glorious strokeplay. Warne (McGrath, and Gillespie) did not bowl badly, but the two Indians played impeccably.

I particularly appreaciated the body-popping... the way Ganguly turned that shoulder-flick into a nervous teeth chatter-style Stan'n'Laurel classic was immense. That morph effect.... about 9.85 out of 10.

Gilly's innings in the first test coming in at 5 for bugger all was stunning.

Shame the umpires didn't let him bat for the rest of the series.
