Australia need 15 more, and Watson is on 90. Will he get his century? Everything else is almost a forgone conclusion.

Turn it up ya nark - he just scored 2 of the best centuries you will ever see and bowled some handy overs.
Anyway, the overriding emotion is relief
that we didn't lose to the Snoozers.
Now that this rubbish is over we can get on with the important stuff of ....... 7 more ODIs against BanIndia ffs

Is it time to maybe reassess the forum opinion of Watto?
No . . . I didn't think so . . .

I struggle with the concept of using ODI form to formulate an opinion of a player

He could score a ton every time he bats and take a michelle every time he bowls and never have another injury in his career and people still wouldn't change their opinion ...

we won...who cares...the team still had over rated spivs in it...The NSP is such a collection of dullards that we can count on watto, bung, horrors, the serbo chokarian and haddit etc forming the backbone of our teams for years of mediocrity to come.

Well done to Watson, but I fear it is a case of flattering to deceive.
Just back from a long weekend away, and didn't see any of the play, so I have seen nothing to dissuade me from my belief that Watson is carp. I hear he made a couple a scratchy scores after his initial ducks (which I did see).

He did collect a young saffie in the crowd on the forehead with a six so he deserves kudos for that

Oh be nice!
He's not my fav either, but Watson played very well for his two tons and the wickets he took. With a strike rate of 80 odd and an average of 40, he didn't do too badly. There. It's said.
Remembering he's joined The Mighty Blues, he can only get better from here.
Well done Aussies!!
Commiserations to NZ. What a disaster to lose so many players.
h, are you getting treatment for the spivphobia? I'm sure it's gotten worse.

I'd guess his nose is shiny (too much cooking sherry) and his coat is wet from having p!ssed himself, again.taipan wrote:skully wrote:Is that the brand of dog food they are serving you at the Nursing Home these days, h?horace wrote:I am allergic to "chumps"

For all the times (more often than not) he's scored runs, dug in, bowled okay ... and, like yesterday, baled Oz out of a deep hole batting at the top of the order, I'm remain amazed at the vilification this poor bugger gets on a regular basis!
TAYPOC or not, if Watson had a UK passport, I reckon he'd be ahead of Cook, Bopara and possibly Shah in the pecking order for both Tests and ODI's!
Despite England having beaten Australia 2 - 1 in the last Ashes series.
