WIPA and WICB reach agreement
A full strength squad will be selected for Australia.
Joint Statement
If the WICB keeps their word of course. They have been known to just ignore arbitration results that go against them (so all of them), resulting in more action from WIPA.

Good luck. Should be a decent enough contest now, not Reifer and his crew versus Ponting.

Thanks
It was emberrassing that they trotted that lot out under the West Indies banner
(a bit like when Bryce McGain represented australia)

In both cases the players have stood up for what is right PP.
I'd be proud of Younis if I was a Pakistan fan.

Yep, though the only positive is that Kemar Roach jumped to the front of the fast bowling queue ahead of Lionel Baker etc. We might look back on that in a few years and decide it was worth it for a World Class express paceman.

I guess so, but WI weren't exactly setting the world on fire before this.

Agreed, but I'd rather see players like Chanderpaul, Gayle, Sarwan, Taylor and Bravo than most of the other lot.

Excellent news.
The WI in its present form was beginning to look like a sad joke ... so it's good to see that reason has prevailed and the likes of Crystal, Ronnie, Chunders and the like will return to do battle.
And if the WICB renege on the arbitration findings, then it ought to be up to the ICC to kick arse or else suspend the WICB from future involvement in ICC meetings and decision making.

I'm hoping the WI go out there and lay all the cards on the table. Hope they don't cave meekly like they did in 2005.

Good stuff. Shame it took a sham like losing to Bangla for anything to progress. I wonder how many of the scabs won't be ditched....

obviously I would prefer a strong WI, but it has been evident for some time that the current crop of players don't seem to relish the test arena.

Roach, Tonge, Miller and Sammy IMHO.
Kemar looks pretty special, Tonge offers something different with his bounce, Miller is a solid left arm spinner and Sammy makes for an excellent back up all-rounder to Dwayne Bravo.
If they pick anyone else it is simply rewarding them for scabbing and not a serious reward for performance.

Re: WIPA and WICB reach agreement
Blimey WIFAN, that's most of the bowling attack.
Still, an attack of Edwards, Taylor, Roach and Tonge looks good. How can you fit a FT spinner in there? Or you won't. I'd opt for not doing so.

It's tricky. Tonge will be the reserve pacer and a spinner will play. I think it will be:
Gayle
Barath
Sarwan
Bravo/Nash
Chanderpaul
Nash/Bravo
Ramdin
Taylor
Miller/spinner
Roach
Edwards
So Fidel and Taylor opening the bowling, followed by Kemar. Bravo will be the 4th seamer and Miller the spinner. Gayle will support with decent off spin and Nash can bowl some left arm filth.
