It sucks. Bring in a shitload of heavy duty booze and prescription pills and hope you wake up.

Personally I though 30 was the bad one.

I really haven't given a fark about any milestones. And I certainly won't be losing any sleep over hitting 50.
I feel 60 in the body and 20 in the head. An even balance, I would say.

You know I never thought I'd bother about forty. That was for whimps. Then when I hit I hit it my son was born and I went "Oh Fark!" When I hit fifty last year I more or less said I just want to be a trolley boy at Wollworths.

Me too.
30 for me in a month or so and I'm almost catatonic about it. There's no fun in being 30.
Acshally, it's a childhood aversion - somebloodybody blustered once that Jesus was 30 when he began his official ministry, so that's the age of adult 'maturity.'
It always stuck with me, even though the Saviour and I are not on each other's Christmas card list.

Agreed. Your '20s seem like an extension of your teenage years, but 30 marks you well and truly into adulthood and your childhood a distant memory. 40 was ok though, I had a good party for that. I suppose it's finally dawned on me that you don't get any older in your head!

Thirty was really cool. Forty was a joke until qmyjr was born. Fifty was wishing I was twenty again.

What part of my sarcasm didn't you understand?
By definition anyone who posts on this forum has to be a loser. It's an entrance qualification.

skully wrote:It was Ronnie Sarwan and it was a little too akin to the DKL/Javed incident for my liking. Pidg asked Ronnie what BCL's snorkle tasted like and Ronnie retorted something like "ask your wife" (if I remember correctly). Pidg then went on like a pork chop, spitting the dummy and threatening Ronnie.
It was embarrassing at the time and still embarrassing now. Pidg shoulda just said "Meh" at the retort if he wanted to start with that line of sledging.
I was watching that match live on the teev. It shook me up a bit at the time and then when I found out the next day what was actually said, I was disgusted. To scream at someone "mention my wife again and I'll fracking rip your fracking throat out" (or thereabouts) and have it practically condoned by the captain was a cricketing low point. Lost all respect I had for McGrath after that.
Also saw the Lillee/Miandad incident live. Can remember that like it was yesterday.
