Ahem. Clark is in my XII; Bung is nowhere near it.

Agree entirely (I was referring to the general consensus in the press/TV). I'd play 4 quicks, Midge, Gump, Milf and Cot.lardbucket wrote:Ahem. Clark is in my XII; Bung is nowhere near it.

North may be the only spinner required in Brisbane.

This will allow the Windies to nab the next two tests...although Ponting will courageously free himself from the mound of flesh and though naked, covered in sexual fluids and gibbering things about Watson's biceps and Nathan Bracken's golden flowing locks will single handedly run 'em close.

Re: WI v Australia - series predictions
The WICB has given the squad the journey from hell in order to save a few $$$$$$'s.
Tuesday: Barbados - London (stay overnight)
Wednesday: London - Bangkok
Thursday: Bangkok - Sydney, 5 hour wait before connecting to Brissie.
Having been from London to Brisbane on numerous occasions I know there are loads of flights available and that the route the players have been on is ridiculous. Of course this is not taking into account that only Roach and Benn are from Barbados and most of the players had to connect from other parts of the Caribbean.

They had to stop in London to pick up the team's spare set of batting pads and keeping gloves . . . couldn't expect them to set off for a long tour with just 2 pair?

Apparently they went via London because the WICB have some sort of deal with British Airways and Joel Garner (Team Manager) was already in the UK on business.

Well this is the WICB we are talking about so I suppose we should just be thankful they got to Australia, even if it took them the best part of 3 days

I hope they make a game of it, though I wouldn't bet the house on it.

Howsabout 1-1, with a draw in Adelaide?
It'd be good to see a well contested series but if John Dyson's bitter departing remarks are anything to go by, the Windies may unravel quickly.
However, with Crystal, Ronnie and Shiv in the pack, the Aus bowlers will have to work hard for their money.
Crystal may enjoy some of the tosh Midge serves up.

With the Windies batting it could be 600 one innings, and then all out for 40 the next...we SHOULD win...but WTF knows?
2-0 would be my call.
2-0 would be my call.

Re: WI v Australia - series predictions
I reckon Sarwan is going to score big runs on this tour. He is determined to excorcise the demons of his disastrous maiden tour and his nemesis Brett Lee is not playing. Shiv may also score a fair few as well.
My predicition still stands, 2-1 Australia. It will all come together for us in one test where our batsman cash in on Australia's new found bowling mediocrity whilst our bowlers put the wind up the Aussies and the catches are accepted.
The other two tests will be dissappointing though.

2-0 to the WIndies. Yes, I know it isn't probably going to happen, but would be brilliant.
Go WIndies.

Yes it will be his first test for about 18 months. Great to have him back.
