Pah.
Not a team without Laxman, esp against Aus. I'll have:
Jaffer
Sehwag/Karthik
Dravid
Tendulkar
Laxman
Yuvraj
Dhoni/Karthik
Kumble
Sreesanth/Munaf
RP Singh
Z Khan
12th man: Chawla

Dhoni looked a good fearless captain and there are no other candidates...... maybe Zaheer?

They've already made Sachin captain. Almost.

same team as the last england test, provided sreesanth can prove himself in the pak test series. only other change i would consider would be to somehow get sehwag in, but that would mean dropping karthik or dhoni and the latter seems almost impossible

I have a feeling the team will be unchanged from the last test but the squad should have Sehwag, both Badrinath and Yuvraj, Bhajji, and Munaf.

It's an early win for australia if they make sashin skipper.

There is still a 3 test series against Pakistan to come. A poor series for Ganguly or Laxman in that series will probably mean that their test careers are over.

I hope the selectors aren't that hopeless. But maybe that's expecting too much.

Laxman hasnt scored a test century for almost 2 years. He hasnt showed his 2003/04 form for a long time.

And scored runs in SA, England, was crucial to us drawing the test match in Lord's.

Well yeah, he seems to have become more of a match saver than a match winner in recent times.
