Re: My old pusscat died today
cats are cold, brutish creatures .. not unlike some of our fellow forummers.
all cuddly at home and turn into stalking hunters when outside. They are also always ready to bare their fangs if there is the minutest discrepency in their schedule.

Very sad to hear that Rob. Always brings back sad memories of my dog, still haven't recovered completely.

It was funny - ironic even - when Laura welcomed him so warmly.

Re: My old pusscat died today
My brother's cat was bitten by a snake, and has karked it.
I'm still living on a main road - so we still have a no pet policy. We've seen our neighbours' animals come and go; they start off as a sort of cylindrical shape, and end up flat.
Hell hath no furry.

And sure enough, all three have since gone to that great cattery in the sky, still they all lived to good ages, and I think we gave them good lives. Have another three and so it goes on.

Couldn't believe how much roadkill was in Tassie. We started counting and then got too tired because there was simply so much.

Its certainly a problem down here. Firstly there is an abundance of wildlife but the main problem is that the bush on many country & outer suburban roads goes right to the roadside where there are no cleared verges or barriers. Every morning i run a gauntlet of dopey Wallabys, Possums & Rabbits.

To be fair the Wallabies are normally pissed.
