AUS have really improved in the ODI format of the game, i remember when the 2 sides or met 8 or 9 months ago AUS weren't that special but now they are by far the best in the world.

Australian ODI squad: Ricky Ponting (c), Doug Bollinger, Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin, Nathan Hauritz, James Hopes (Brisbane), Michael Hussey, Shaun Marsh, Clint McKay, Peter Siddle, Adam Voges (Sydney), Shane Watson, Cameron White.

Pakistan ODI squad: Mohammad Yousuf (c), Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal, Imran Farhat, Fawad Alam, Kamran Akmal, Saeed Ajmal, Umar Gul, Rao Iftikhar, Shoaib Malik, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Aamer, Naved-ul-Hasan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Salman Butt, Younus Khan, Mohammad Asif

Pakistan has included Afridi, Younus & Naved. probably a good move as Afridi & Naved have been in pretty good form in the Big Bash series.
I think the Aust side looks a little vulnerable. White, McKay & Voges can consider themselves lucky to be there. Hopes has been in good form but can be hit or miss in the big games. Apart from Bellerive, Siddle has done nothing all summer & Bollinger is something of an unknown in ODI's on home soil.
The first game today should be pretty interesting.

Given Podge's recent one day form, they should select him - just to p!ss him off (as he has to remind them he has retired from International cricket).

The ADD generatiopn has spoken. THey reckon there will be 10 000 empty seats at the Gabba today.

Then again, 11000 at the Gabba for the KFC prelim final the other night wasn't exactly a huge crowd compared to some of the other t20 games this summer.

Mate, 11,000 at the gabba translates to 40,000 in Sydney or Melbourne.

They're known as a jamodi for good reasons. If empty seats leads to change then I'm OK with that.

Is it really to much to ask that they get uniforms that look vaguley different colour scheme wise.

It's after 10am on a friday so there is a fair chance qmy is pissed as well as being a banjo and stoopid
