Maker claims success in quest for holy grail of 80-over pink cricket ball
By Peter Lalor
January 26, 2010

The day-night Test revolution is closer at hand, with one ball manufacturer claiming it has split the atom and produced a pink ball that can last 80 overs and even more.

story

I'd like to see it, myself. Sure, the conditions will be different to day Test cricket, but we had the same thing with ODIs for years and got used to that...

Bring it on, I say.

The pink ball that Sutherland was holding up on the news didnt look like a leather ball

The pink ball that is used in the WACA women's comp is shit ...it struggles to last twenty overs is totally crap at the end of 50 ...and would never make 80 overs

They players claim it comes off the bat "softer" and doesn't swing
