Re: RBS Six Nations 2010
I thought the national stadium had been built on that site but could be wrong

The Millennium Stadium is next door to Cardiff Blues ground. The new Cardiff football ground is outside of the city centre - in an attempt to alleviate potential hooliganism.

Cardiff Arms Park
Cardiff Arms Park (also known simply as The Arms Park) is a rugby union stadium situated in the centre of Cardiff, Wales. It is home to the Cardiff Blues and Cardiff RFC. Cardiff Arms Park previously had two stadiums the Cardiff Rugby Ground and also the National Stadium.
The Millennium Stadium replaced the National Stadium in 1999. Although the Millennium Stadium is on roughly two thirds of the old National Stadium site, it is not considered to be part of Cardiff Arms Park and is not used in the address of the Millennium Stadium.

Re: RBS Six Nations 2010
Who would have predicted England would lose after scoring the only try? A bit of a role reversal from previous meetings. A big improvement which will probably keep Johnson in his job for the summer tours at least, whether that's a good thing in the long run remains to be seen.
The French were nervous and scrappy in this game but I suppose they deserved it over the previous games, nobody else ever looked like challenging for the title.

Bit of a strange 6 nations for England, not outclassed by anyone but hardly feels like any progress has been made on the last few years.

Blinder by the ref.
The Citoyen d'Honneur awaits
Good to see Johnson at long last take the shackles off and let a team under his leadership show the enterprise, dash and tenacity to play the new Champs off the rain-sodden cut-up shambles of a a park. Bodes well. (.... Now ... if we can only get shot of Johnno ... ~ Why was Tindall removed btw? Amazingly good this outing - fast running, crash-tackling, didn't think he had any of that still in him.)

Re: RBS Six Nations 2010
Strange Six Nations for everyone really, perhaps summed up by the fact that Scotland could easily have got the Triple Crown but nearly ended up with the wooden spoon. Ireland and Wales showed hints of what they are capable of but didn't do so consistently, Italy were tougher to beat but just don't have the backs to beat decent sides on a regular basis.JKLever wrote:Bit of a strange 6 nations for England, not outclassed by anyone but hardly feels like any progress has been made on the last few years.

There was a time when the Arms Park was dual use with Glamorgan playing there as well.

I caught the last 20 minutes of the game at Croke Park. The Scots were impressive.
