Current record:
283 - 210 for 2nd wkt NZ v WI Kingston 1984-85 GP Howarth 84/JJ Crowe 112
Obviously we have to wait for the last wicket to fall.
But as it stands, the percentage of the team total is 78.57%. Which is higher than Howarth's and Crowe's.
Skully, what is the record for one partnership accounting for so much of a team's total?

Josh Carney wrote:If India are to win they have to do it all in the first innings. Even chasing 200 will be a challenge in the fourth against the SA bowlers given the pressure of the the series / ranking on the line.
From memory in that famous Eden Gardens test against the Aussies the flurry of wickets always came in the last session.
Can the Indian batting score big in the first dig, I am not convicned they can.
One of the openers needs to dig in. Laxman and Sachin [can he repeat his last test act?] need to dig in. We have 4 experienced guys and 2 of them need to bat big like Peterson and Amla.

I think this one still holds the record:Paul Keating wrote:skully wrote:Here's another record the Yarps are chasing. Lowest Test total featuring a 200-stand:

79.81% 344/431 5th BC Lara (213), PT Collins (10*) and JC Adams (94) WI v Aus, Kingston, 1998-99
If SAf don't add then the Petersen/Amla partnerhsip will be the 2nd highest % of a total.

This is, of course, for all-out innings. There have been plenty of declared/winning innings with one partnership making up more than 80% of the declared/winning total.

Ishant's line is still so so poor.
Yesterday's wickets would just camouflage the crapness of this Indian attack. They're still the worst attack in world cricket atm.

Ishant and Bhajji being continually picked in tests after tests is such an 'inspired' move by Indian selectors.

What will India do without Zaheer?
I mean seriously India is such a crap bowling side even with Zaheer in it. If not for him, I don't even want to think about it.

And how?
2.6 Steyn to Sehwag, FOUR!!, Viru on fire!!! back of a length delivery on off, Sehwag stands tall and punches it to sweeper cover, stand and deliver!!!
2.5 Steyn to Sehwag, FOUR!!, teriffic timing on that one, fuller delivery shaping in, Sehwag closes the face of the bat and flays it to deep mid wicket, the fielder at the deep is only a spectator
2.4 Steyn to Sehwag, FOUR!!, a touch fuller outside off, Sehwag's eyes lit up and he goews after it, slices it past the infield and the ball runs down to third man boundary
