He tackled Harro's negative line very well, well played.

I know Mishra may have a mandate to go for it, but he can avoid twattish shots like that. Kallis almost caught him.

Fair play though, Kallis has had two opportunities in three overs (also the last over of yesterday) and he's shelled them both.
FFS.

And he is normally a very safe fielder.

Steyn bouncing Mishra; on present evidence he's played the man better than Badri.

Most probably against SL in SL, a 3-test series in Jul '10.Ash wrote:badri has looked out of his depth everytime he has faced a touring xi iirc. but he deserved a chance on the weight of domestic runs.
id get pandey or kohli in....when is our next test series anyway?
hopefully MS and VVS can stick around and eke out a significant lead. expect our bowlers to get pumelled 2nd dig.

Yep. Badri was just clueless.furriner wrote:Steyn bouncing Mishra; on present evidence he's played the man better than Badri.
He played these 2 test just because he is from TN and IMO there must be at least half a dozen more deserving batsmen waiting in front of him for national team call up.

I'd take that.DJ_Smerk wrote:What another series against SL?

Any test against anyone is better than no tests.
Besides, we've not won in SL for close to 2 decades now. Probably the last hurrah for fab-3.

South Africa would be mad not to take the new ball.
Get Steyn and Morkel on, bang it in against Mishra and nail Laxman with a subtle probing line swinging the ball in from middle to off.

Steyn taken off which probably means they may take the new ball shortly.

Dunno about the TN bit....does he not have a ton of recent runs in the domestic?
I was ok with the decision - What can you do if he has the runs and the years of experience? He's been given the chance to fail that he wanted. And he's been found, IMO.

So has Pujara and many others.does he not have a ton of recent runs in the domestic?
I've no doubt in my mind had it not been for Srikanth, Badri won't have ever made his test debut for India.

NZ showed what can be done in a 5th wicket partnership. India will now do even better.

I dunno if Laxman has been told to play the waiting game, but they' seem to be focused on choking his runs flow...
New ball. Now then, Steyn.

BTW, Tendulkar is now a part of 16 200+ partnerships in tests which is a WR.
