And that can be done only if Zaheer and Bhajji repeat their heroics against Aus in that '08 series.

He is just back from injury and in a pressure situation. Re-Lax.

Steyn should feel relaxed now that Mishra is gone....

Morkel and his problem of no-balls is akin to Mishra's problem with no-balls. At least in Morkel's defence he mostly bowls 145K-odd thunderbolts.

Like I mentioned before, Dhoni doesn't look too comfortable and is living dangerously now.

Lack of runs will get to the bats if they keep it up.

I've a proposal to start every test series in India with a test at Kolkata.
The atmosphere in Kolkata may unnerve any team first up which may perhaps help us to avoid first test blues which is a constant whether we play at home or away.

Yep, got to score runs somehow and Dhoni may take the lead being the stroke player.

BTW, SA's collapse of 6/10 in the post tea session on the first day was 2nd best against India in India with the first being 6/9 in A'bad in '96, courtesy Srinath.

I don't think Dhoni is picking the one that Steyn brings in; hence his moving outside the off stump to play at balls.

Another good session for India. We got a bit lucky here and there, though.

Dhoni was quite out of depth against Steyn till he crossed double figures though he didn't show his nerves. Steyn tested both Dhoni and Laxman well with accurate off stump like and got a couple of misses and inside edges too. He kept testing Dhoni throughout his spell. Dhoni did well to keep his bat down and hang in there. I don't understand why fast bowlers feel the need to 'chitchat' when batsman don't fall for their baits. Laxman did well to get away from Steyn's barrage of bouncers and then Steyn felt the need to walk down the pitch and speak some words to Laxman. Good thing Laxman doesn't get ruffled by such theatrics and he just smiled sheepishly and got back to keeping Steyn out.
The last over again was bizarre captaincy material. There was just 1 slip and no close in fielders to Harris just before lunch. Dhoni got an edge off the one that spun away and Kallis gave an action replay of last evening's last ball drop before stumps off Laxman. And harris wen all "fark, fark, fark".
Harris is now getting a sharp turn off the pitch and Bhajji/Mishra must be licking their lips in anticipation. This will be difficult batting tomorrow and especially last day now. Exciting time awaits Proteas when they bat again.

Zaheer and Bhajji can hopefully add 50-70 runs with tail so really we should be looking at 550 at least here. A least of 200 is minimum we should get. I hope we get there. Laxman deserves another Eden 50 at least. A 100 would be a treat.
