The title of that article doesn't look right. Hurled with chucker taunts? Terrible journalism.

"Some people have just asked for autographs and have been nice, but there have been one or two people who have shouted 'chucker' in the street and during the game in Adelaide," he said.

"They are just younger guys, and I don't really pay much attention to it," he was quoted as saying by the Sydney Morning Herald.

-------------------

He doesn't pay attention but has a sook about it to a journo?? If Warnie had $10 for every "who ate all the pies" sledge he got from crowds around the world, he'd be twice as rich as he is. Chuck is just having a bet each way in case he doesn't get wickets in the Tests. He can then whinge about being put off his game by the "appalling behaviour of Australian cricket followers". Sook.

Pretty tame by Adelaide standards!

Here we go again. To be fair Murali was just saying that people insulted him but he took no notice. It was hardly whinging of him and even if he didn't say anything the journos are going to make up someting. Warne copped a lot of abuse like wise and he did wrote about it and even once "promissed" that he won't play for any Scottish clubs because the abuse he copped during WC99 game in Scotland was really bad (Times UK).

I can well imagine the journalist asking him if anyone had said anything derogatory and him just replying.

This is why we get such anodyne interviews with players. They know that anything they say can be twisted and blown up into a big story.

Balls. There's a world of difference between a bloke who's actually a fat count and one who doesn't think he chucks. All Warne had to do was stop eating so much or take some diuretics, poor ol' Muttiah can't do much about his chucking. Especially if he doesn't think he does.

Bulltwang. Chuck has proved in laboratory tests that he can "bowl" offies without pinging, even with a brace on his elbow. It's just that he can't get as much reverse spin with the doosra nor massive offspin unless he goes to ICC sanctioned 14.99999 degrees (fark off, lets round it to 25 degrees). So as soon as he's no longer under laboratory testing, he just pings with impunity, and no magpie is game to call him. And fundamentally (and apologies if I've missed any intended sarcasm anti-Hugo) I think Chuck knows exactly when he's chucking and when he's not. Essentially making him a deceitful little bint.

Yeah, it was a facetious post. However, I was pointing out that having your integrity, or lack of it, shouted at you would much more likely have an adverse affect on your cricketing game than calling someone a fat count.
