Re: Truly unfortunate names...
To return to the topic, and quote Fred Nerk from one of the Aussie election threads:
Dunno if Ms Gash is really that unfortunate... :laule:
A special mention should be made now of Warwick Hunt, the CEC candidate for the NSW south coast (Nowra area) seat of Gilmore, which the rather unfortunately-named Mrs Joanna Gash held for the Liberals despite a 5% swing.
Hunt's tireless campaigning won him the confidence of a whole 49 of the 87 000 voters in the seat. This represents 0.06% of the electorate, and is the lowest number of votes any candidate polled in any seat in the country.
Dunno if Ms Gash is really that unfortunate... :laule:

How appropriate. Worrie Knut beat Jo Gash. Sounds all a bit like a jellywrestling event.mynah wrote:To return to the topic, and quote Fred Nerk from one of the Aussie election threads:A special mention should be made now of Warwick Hunt, the CEC candidate for the NSW south coast (Nowra area) seat of Gilmore, which the rather unfortunately-named Mrs Joanna Gash held for the Liberals despite a 5% swing.

Ouch!
Probably no coincidence that the same country that gave the world those two great companies, Arselik and Kunt, is now producing Bum Biscuits...
