Cremer vs Cremer is showing some promise as a leg spinner.
2/8 off 3.

The Zimmers don't look too bad. Spinners giving it a right old tweak and the ground fielding has mostly been impressive.

Cremer gets his third! 3 for 11 off 4. Good stuff.
66/7 now.
Surely, only a miracle can help the WI.

And a nice game; Windies had Zimmers down 3 wickets for 0.

A weird game, to say the least.
WI opened with Benn who took a wicket in the first ball (and the next two). Surely some trivia must come out of that?
Glad to see Zimbabwe haven't lost focus despite all the strife their country is in.

19.1
SW Masakadza to Ramdin, 1 run, Dropped at long-on Ramdin heaved the full delivery straight to long-on where the fielder clangs it.
9.9/10 for Zimbabwe.

All over.
Zimbabwe triumph. On paper they look like a good unit - now some decent ODI performances will definitely get people talking about Zimbabwean cricket again.

From trickinfo...
Wasn't WIFAN saying that Windies tailor spinning pitches because they have more spinners coming through? Essentially meaning, the West Indies probably prepare more for spinners (of all kinds) than any other form of bowling?
Oh dear...
Yes, the pitch offered spin, yes it was a two-paced track, with the ball occasionally stopping on the batsmen but it has be said that the batsmen showed poor skills. West Indies were terrible against spin today and crumbled under steady pressure exerted by the gang of Zimbabwe spinners.

Re: West Indies v Zimbabwe, Only T20, 28th Feb
That was the worst pitch I have ever seen in a T20. It turned square from start to finish and we played only one spinner (who took 4/6 ).
The fact that Zimbabwe were able to bowl 18 overs of spin and that part timers were turning the ball square should tell you everything.I am utterly fed up with pitches like this being produced against teams like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh when our biggest advantage over them is the quality of strokeplay and the pace of the bowlers. Commentators keep going on about how fun the T20 WC is going to be without realising that our pitches are a disgrace to cricket and allow even the most ordinary spinner to run amok.
Still, this is hugely embarrassing. If we get more pitches like that for the 5 ODI's I think might just kill myself. 50 overs of part time spin anyone? It will be fantastic viewing for all spectators.............

So this match didn't even rate an "above the line" mention. Noice.

'Above the line' is reserved for full internationals. Neither of these teams deserve that tag.

Apparently the Zimbos were listed at $4.25 for the win in the betting.
